ST CLAIR SHORES, MICH—The VFW 1146 Bruce Post will host a fundraiser event on Friday, November 8, 2024. The local band Wolf Monkey will be donating their time and the VFW 1146 Bruce Post will host the event. Bruce Post is at 24404 Jefferson Avenue, St. Clair Shores, Michigan. The event runs from 8 pm to 11 pm.
Wolf Monkey is a grunge band based out of Detroit. Best known for playing “porch concerts” during the summer in St. Clair Shores. Formed in March 2024, many of the members comprise the bands Aqua Monkey and Michelle Wolf & The Pack. Current members include Dan Morganroth (guitar & vocals), Michelle Wolf Schmidt (vocals), Brad Fuller (guitar), John Sparks (bass), Tom Kolarik (bass), and Jim Olson (drums).
The event is a fundraiser for the Buddy® Poppy Fund. A fund that is earmarked for “Veterans in Need.” Last year the event raised $1200; this year’s goal is to raise $2000 for the fund. There will be a 50/50 and a basket raffle, along with music. The event is open to the public and held in the VFW 1146 Bruce Post Clubroom.
